Adjustments to M242 Class Rules
Competitors are advised that the IMCA Committee has made some adjustments to the M242 Class Rules, which will go into effect March 1, 2011. The slightly revised Class Rules are available for review on the Fleet one website, as well as downloadable pdf's of the Class Rules, a blank Sail Registry Form, and a blank Measurement Certificate. Also refer to the Fleet 3 website, which will be updated shortly with the new Rules.
Specifically, the changes that occurred since the last set of Rules were announced on November 16, 2009 are:
- 3.7.4.1 (Crew weight) remains the same at 386kg or 850 pounds maximum
- 3.7.4.2 contains modified language re when crews can be weighed
- 3.7.4.3 has been added to place strict restrictions on crew substitutions at IMCA sanctioned events (ie: major regattas)
