* Do you know of anyone with a sailboat that may be interested in joining SLSC and leasing a slip for 2012? The Marina Bay Homeowners Association has extended their "Friends and Family" slip leasing to the members of SLSC. There may still be slips available, it is a great opportunity for anyone wishing to join the sailing club and have great access to the lake. Please have anyone who may be interested contact Norma at commodore@sylvansailing.ca

Canadian Womens Natioal Keelboat Championship
September 21st, 22nd and 23rd, 2012
Fleet One Vancouver is proud and excited to announce hosting the 2012 Martin 242 North American Championship. The race course will be on English Bay under the scenery of the breathtaking North Shore mountains and conducted by former Olympic race officer Paul Ulibarri. The regatta will be held on September 21st, 22nd and 23rd, 2012. A three day event was choosen to increase competitiveness as well as respect the distance travelled of our out of town racers from Vancouver Island, Alberta, California and Oregon. Please join us in making this the best Martin 242 North American Championship. Out of town competitors should feel free to contact Richard Spooner with logistical queries at
